Jitneys
A jitney is a term the club uses to describe social games. In a jitney, teams are decided before games start, by drawing names from the people who show up. Each person puts their name tag on the board under the position they want to play – lead, vice or skip. The number of teams and the number of players per team is decided by the number of people who attend. Teams ore formed by a random draw.
We run jitneys each Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons starting at 1 pm sharp. Visit our events calendar for times for all our events. Afternoon jitneys start the week of May 11 and run through to the end of September.
These are perfect times for visitors to try the game before they join the club. Just show up a bit early wearing flat shoes with little tread.
This group runs each Wednesday evening at 7 pm. A social time with trivia, horse race games, or just a great visit with friends is held each night. Drop in each week and have some fun! No need to sign up for this group – just show up when you are able.
For all jitneys, please arrive at the club at least 15 minutes before start time to form teams.
All players are encouraged to help with setup and clean up to assist the other volunteers
