A jitney is a term the club uses to describe social games. In a jitney, teams are decided before games start, by drawing names from the people who show up. Each person puts their name tag on the board under the position they want to play – lead, vice or skip. The number of teams and the number of players per team is decided by the number of people who attend. Teams ore formed by a random draw.

We run jitneys each Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons starting at 1 pm sharp.  Tuesday morning jitneys will run again this year starting at 9:30 am.  Wednesday evening jitneys run from June 26 through September and each evening have a social time with games – trivia, crokinole, or bring us your ideas – it is all about fun. Visit our events calendar for times for all our events.  All these events start the week of May 13 and run through to the end of September.

These are perfect times for visitors to try the game before they join the club. Just show up a bit early wearing flat shoes with little tread.

All players are encouraged to help with setup and clean up to assist the other volunteers
